The series “Rooms” consists of images taken in Barcelona that reveal the secrets that, once removed the facades, the walls have created and saved for years inside the housing.
These images, which merge into a single means graphic design and photography, are the trace and the memory of living space, inviting the viewer to imagine the various stories that have been generated in different rooms over time.
This is a kind of photography that does not seek to define the world, but rather gradually unveil it through a calm ambient orchestration, a patient observation and an intense perception. It is all about a subjective gaze situated at the crossroads of abstraction and figuration, of the visible and the invisible aspect of the landscape.
This landscape of uncertain appearance and of great suggestive abilities confers a mysterious character on the photographic momentum. That puts our imagination, deduction, speculation and fantasy into motion, thus leading to the creation of our proper INTERIOR LANDSCAPE that will ultimately allow us to recognise ourselves.
In the photographs that make up this project, look beyond the same star image necessarily going to the absent, the human presence. Does not disclose the illusion that we wake up the gap, but the absence.
These abandoned areas were originally built for recreation and rest, ceasing to perform their functions, they lose their usefulness and their shape metamorfea.
The photographic image rescues us the many stories that are behind each of them, carries them to us and show us through the atmosphere.
The imagination is a plane of reality, is what opens the door to the poetic. It helps us to create imaginary spaces that finally after all make up our own world.
